Take a Deep Breath

Before you start running to catch up, keep in mind today’s scripture passage, “All things work together for good for those who love God.”  (Romans 8: 26-30)  No matter where you are with your preparations, God’s grace will work with you, right where you are. Before you give in to the weight of feeling that it all depends on you, remember that, in reality, it doesn’t. God is in charge, and God will get you through.

I must admit, I wrote Prepare Your Heart for a Great Christmas in part because I need to remind myself of wonderful truths like the one in the passage, above.  Today I feel the creeping anxiety of holiday preparations, but there is consolation in knowing God is with me in it.  I don’t have to do it alone, and I trust God has a few surprises in store along the way!

Today my intention is to enjoy my day and not be crabby!  I am grateful for my home and family, and that I got the laundry done yesterday.
