Maria Rodgers O’Rourke is an insightful and warm-hearted woman who is quick with a joke or an encouraging word.  A popular and accomplished writer, speaker and teacher, Maria has given numerous workshops and retreats.  Author of the Prepare Your Heart devotional series, her work is also featured in the Chicken Soup for the Soul inspirational books.  Maria is a co-presenter at King’s House retreat center and has served in church ministry for over 20 years in communications, adult spirituality and family life.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies.  Her accomplishments include experience as a contributing columnist to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, St. Louis Globe-Democrat and Suburban Journals; local radio show host; and as color commentator on the Odyssey Network for the 1999 Papal Visit of Pope John Paul II to St. Louis.  Maria and her husband Steve have two children.
