Maria is a popular and accomplished writer, facilitator and speaker who has given numerous workshops and retreats. Author of Prepare Your Heart and Be a Great Mom (2009) and Prepare Your Heart for a Great Christmas (2008), she pens a weekly column, The Big Picture, for the St. Louis Globe-Democrat online. Maria’s story “Love and Potato Chips” is featured in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotionals for Women (2009).
Maria has served in church ministry for over 20 years on the national, regional and local levels in communications, adult spirituality, family life and retreat direction and she holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Studies. Her accomplishments include experience as a contributing columnist to the St. Louis Post Dispatch and Suburban Journals, local radio show host and as color commentator on the Odyssey Network for the 1999 Papal Visit of Pope John Paul II to St. Louis.
Maria has over 20 years of experience in communications and is president of MRO Communications, specializing in marketing communications through newsletters, web copy, brochures, press releases, training materials, proposals, articles, white papers, event materials. Maria and he husband Steve have two daughters.
